Tumblr is like your blog and your blog reader rolled into one, with a dash of Twitter for spice. When you pull up your dashboard, that’s the reader. You can curate posts you like by, er, liking them (heart, like twitter favorites) or by reblogging them (like the retweet). To me Tumblr feels more like curation. For me things I make for fun or art that I’m not going to write about go here. It’s easy to have multiple blogs by category; I have one for the math and one for my geekiness. Besides the math, there’s the New Yorker, MOMA, Colossal, Fresh Air…
Good follows:
- Geometry Daily & Daily Minimal, regolo54, nakedgeometry (static mathart)
- Visualizing Math, The Math Kid , mathani, curiosa mathematica (general mathiness)
-TwoCubes, p5art, Bees and Bombs, Shonkwiler, bigblueboo, geometricloci, (generated mathart)
-from-student-to-teacher, Chris Pearce (teaching)
I don’t want to overwhelm here. (But there’s more!) Because of the reblogging, if you follow just two Tumblrs, you’ll have plenty of tips on whom else to follow soon. So just try it a little - you can stop anytime you want. Heh, heh, heh…
MTBoS:
- Dan Anderson (processing gifs) @dandersod
- Hedge @approx_normal (reason for this here post)
- Ilana Horn (reflections) @ilanahorn
- Megan Schmidt @veganmathbeagle
- Matthew Maddux (news) @matthewmaddux
- wobbles
- Ashli @mythagon (undisclosed)
- Chris Burke (x,why? - comics) @mrburkemath

There must be more #MTBoS that I just don’t know… who’s out there?
