Hi. I'm a very lucky person.

Somehow I've gotten to live all over North America, collaborate with luminaries, and befriend courageous, principled, and creative people.

Code has been my vocation for decades. I've gotten to have small parts in big movements. I've succeeded on supposedly impossible projects. I've also failed enough to enjoy steering newer colleagues onto better paths.

Outside work, I've been serially obsessed with design, typography, music, journalism, activism, running, and cooking. Currently, I'm training to cycle between cities.

I live in Vancouver, Canada.
