Package: pulseaudio Version: 14.0-2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream X-Debbugs-Cc: hlieberman@debian.org, pkg-gnome-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org Hello maintainers, Not entirely sure whether this is a GNOME issue or a pulseaudio issue, but since the breakage occured due to a change in the pulseaudio API, I'm putting it here for now. Feel free to move it if appropriate. Since upgrading from the 13.x branch, GNOME no longer prompts whether a device is a headphone or headset on plug insertion. After talking with i-garrison on freenode/#pulseaudio, our guess is that this is related to the creation of availability groups in 13.99.2 and the changes made to module switch-on-port-available. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/issues/1028 is related, though not specifically covering the breakage between GNOME and PA, but rather mistakes in the way PA did selection from g-s-d.
