The following chip families should be supported: Bonaire, Hawaii, Kaveri, Kabini Mullins, Iceland, Tonga, Carrizo, Fiji, Stoney. This list seems to be out of date. The AMDGPU display driver is working quite satisfactorily with my Radeon R9-280 video card, including HDMI audio. lspci reports this hardware: VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
