Not sure how appropriate this would be, but would it be possible
to stick the following Emacs tidy add-on into the tidy (or
another) package?:

http://discus.anu.edu.au/~kahlil/emacs/tidy.el

It makes tidy incredibly useful from inside Emacs.

Regards,
Andrew.

Hmm, I just wanted to take a look at this but the link gives a 404.
I take it <http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/wiki/tidy.el> is what you
have in mind?
NB: I'm not sure how appropriate it'd be to include this, either.

Cheers,
Flo

I think so. I'm using the tidy.el from EmacsWiki: I guess ~kahlil and
Kahlil (Kal) HODGSON are the same person ;-)

To be sure, I cc:ed him.

Well, I think it could be very useful.

I was browsing the BTS for Tidy in order to submit a wishlist about
tidy.el: no more need to open a term for tidy ;-)

The other option will be to include it in emacs-goodies-el, but I
think tidy is preferable.

For example, ratpoison [1] include a major mode for editing
.ratpoisonrc file and functions to access ratpoison from within
Emacs.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

Date: Sun, 27 Apr 2025 12:42:01 +0200
Version: 2:5.8.0-1

I am closing all the bugs that had been filled before 5.8.0 upstream version
that are **upstream** issues.

If the bug that you've reported can still be found in 5.8.0, please retest this,
make sure that the upstream bugs are actually filled upstream and reopen
the bug in Debian BTS and correctly set the "forwarded" attribute on the
issue.
