Package: xawtv
Version: 3.90
Severity: wishlist
After upgrading xawtv, pressing "c" in the options menu, just gives a
channel window with few entrys (though of course, I can scroll to the
other entries). I can, of course, extend the window to the full size of
the screen (so it reaches from top to almost bottom of the screen).
Before the upgrade the channels window always filled the full screen.
It would be great if that behaviour could be reverted to the old
behaviour of if it could be made configurable. Best thing would be to
save the last position (like the user created/extended it) and to
simply restore it at next start. This is already done internally, i.e.
if I close it and reopen it, it kept the size.

Ok. My .xawtvrc (which was autogenerated ages ago) did not contain a
line saying [global]. After adding that on at the top, I was able to
change values in .xawtvrc which do effect xawtv upon next start up.
However, the change you requested does not touch the contents of this
wishlist bug. To illustrate, look at
http://www.itp.uni-hannover.de/~kreutzm/data/xawtv-channel.jpg
which shows the channel window when it is poped up first. Please note,
that there is still space below it.
With the old version of xawtv (before upgrading to testing), the
channel window looked like in
http://www.itp.uni-hannover.de/~kreutzm/data/xawtv-channel-full.jpg
which I can still achive by manually enlarging the channel window.
It would be great if it could be possible, to get the channel window
to use the largest vertical space available without needing to extend
it.

Hello,
I havn't heard anything for a year now on this issue, what is the
current status? Is there a chance to get the old behaviour (full size)
or at least a configurable/remember last size behaviour?
Also please note that the picture link I posted to you probably
becomes unavailable in April.
A status update would be appreciated.
Greetings
Helge
