The main problem is that unoconv is not able to start its listener
itself. It tries to launch it with:
soffice -headless -invisible -nocrashreport -nodefault \
         -nofirststartwizard -nologo -norestore \
         -accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.Service

Does it work for you?

Could you try to enable verbose (unoconv -v)?
