Subject: Improvements to support of vendor-specific patches series
Date: Thu, 28 Oct 2010 16:46:25 +0200
Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.15.8.5
Severity: wishlist

1/ When looking up the series file, it should also try series files of
parent distributions before falling back to debian/patches/series.
Say if mint is derived from ubuntu, the lack of debian/patches/mint.series
should result in debian/patches/ubuntu.series being used before
debian/patches/series.

2/ When extracting the source package, quilt should automatically point to
the series files of the current distribution (and not debian/patches/series
unconditionnaly as it currently does). i.e. it should put ubuntu.series in
.pc/.quilt_series if that file exists while unpacking a source package on
an ubuntu machine.

Cheers,

This part is already fixed by commit
4fa01b70df1dc4458daee306cfa1f987b69da58c. I forgot I already did it. :)
