Subject: mailman debian logo broken if changing image path
Date: Sat, 21 Jan 2012 21:24:50 +0100
Package: mailman
Version: 1:2.1.13-5
Severity: minor
Link to Debian logo in /usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/Defaults.py is hardcoded (variable SITE_LOGO).
While Mailman gives you the ability to change the image path in mm_cfg.py under the variable IMAGE_LOGOS
If you do so, the Debian logo will be broken.
You should probably define the Debian logo around MailmanLogo() under :
/usr/lib/mailman/Mailman/htmlformat.py

Well, the default is hardcoded. It is changable via mm_cfg.py like every
other configuration option.

It was intended design to have this variable include the full URL path,
because users may want to use it for their site's logo which may not be in
/images/mailman/ at all.

Hi!
One workaround to show some debian love is to give Apache one more alias
to fix the debian logo, before the one for the other images. Something
like that for instance:
Alias /images/mailman/debianpowered.png
/usr/share/images/mailman/debianpowered.png
Alias /images/ /usr/share/images/mailman/
Just my 2 cents,
piem
