Hi,

I'm almost certain the "old" top used to include processes that were in the
"D" state in idle mode. This was very convenient because it was possible to
see at a glance what processes a high load average is due to.

The "new" top only lists processes that actually consumed CPU time in 'idle'
mode. While this is certainly a valid interpretation of 'idle', I'd still
like the ability to filter out processes that spend all their time in the
"S" state and show all the rest.

Thanks.

Andras

The way top does its idle is the simplest and most straightforward
for the user. There doesn;t seem to be a clearer way to half
sort-of idle processes added.
