Subject: /sbin/fsck: e2fsck is run on ROOT filesystem with every Reboot
Date: Sat, 27 Jun 2015 16:38:13 +0530
Package: e2fsprogs
Version: 1.42.12-1.1
Severity: normal
File: /sbin/fsck
After upgrading to Debian-8.0, I am finding on my laptop that 'fsck' is run on
Root partition after every Reboot.
It complains of 'Filesystem last write time is in the Future', and it runs fsck
to
correct the problem.
This problem was seen several years back with an older version of e2fsprogs
(not with Debian build), which got corrected.
So, how to fix this problem ?
Otherwise, it is pretty unpleasant to wait for a minute for the fsck to
complete
with every reboot.

There is a correction I would like to put for my earlier report on the bug.
I had mentioned "Filesystem last write time is in the Future".
However, it should be read as "Superblock last write time is in the Future", and then fsck is invoked to correct it.
With regards,
