Dear Maintainer,

In Openbox, changing font settings in the Font tab, like antialiasing and 
hinting, have no effect.  Clicking the Apply button doesn't change fonts in 
any window.  In an LXDE session everything works fine.  It's only in Openbox
where I see this problem.

Same here using plain Xorg/i3 on testing

Actually this might be caused by the QtCurve theme as it only happens 
when I have the QtCurve theme selected...

ie:

Set gtk-theme-name="QtCurve" in .gtkrc-2.0 file then the font will 
always be Sans no matter how gtk-font-name is set
