Subject: Telegram Desktop on Wayland does not stick to screen edge
Date: Mon, 02 Aug 2021 09:16:51 +0300
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: telegram-desktop
Version: 2.9.0+ds-1
Severity: minor

Telegram Desktop incorrectly sets window size, and Wayland considers a
translucent border with shades around the window as a part of
application window. This is somehow related to upstream patched fork of
xdg-shell, Wayland plugin for Qt.

https://github.com/desktop-app/lib_waylandshells

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run in terminal `QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland telegram-desktop`
2. Bring not-maximized main window to left or right screen edge.

Expected behaviour:

1. The window will occupy exactly half of screen.

Actual behaviour:

1. Gaps between the window and border of desired area remain.

This was tested on GNOME in Live Debian system.
