Package: firefox
Version: 93.0-1+b1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
When I use microphine on Firefox, I can not use microphone and after
that Firefox hang up.
At first I found that problem on using Google meet. By the way it
happens on any site with microphone.
I checked test site at https://mictests.com/ .
I checked USB microphone and USB headset.

Hi,
I'm observing similar issue. Mic is unresponsive on version 93 and 94.
Version 92 from experimental works fine. Tested with empty profile.
The browser can no longer play anything (music, video, ...) after it
starts interact with mic. Until than the video and sound play is ok.
Cheers
Michal

Hi
I have the same experience on firefox 94.0-1. Audio playback works fine
before. Attempting to use the microphone fails and after that audio
playback breaks with the browser hanging after a short while. I have
tested on multiple computers and with multiple microphones (2 webcams
and a headset).
Checking pulseaudio logs (attached) when creating a Google Meet meeting,
Firefox only registers a playback stream named "AudioCallbackDriver" and
no recording streams.
Regards
Tiit

Hi,
I can confirm the same issue using pipewire-pulse 0.3.39-3 as audio
deamon on unstable/sid with both packages:
1. firefox-esr 91.3.0esr-1
2. firefox 94.0-1
As an intermediate workaround, chromium works (tested with chromium
93.0.4577.82-1).
Cheers,
Bruno
