种放（955年 - 1016年），字名逸，自號雲溪醉侯，北宋洛陽（今屬河南洛陽市）人，父種詡，宋吏部令史，後調補長安主簿。
七歲能寫文章，精於易學。不應科舉，隱居終南山，講學授徒。起居舍人宋維翰曾向朝廷推薦他。真宗朝由翰林學士宋湜與錢若水、王禹偁薦入朝廷，賜官左司諫、直昭文館，授右諫議大夫。後屢隱屢仕，官至工部侍郎。他以所得祿賜，廣置良田，倚仗勢力強買，門人和親屬也多行不法之事。晚年移居嵩山，但仍常到終南山按視田畝。卒於大中祥符八年十一月十九日（1016年1月1日），歸葬終南山，贈工部尚書。著有《退士傳》。
种放終身未娶，沒有子嗣，死時六十一歲。
