《詩話總龜》原名《詩總》，中國宋朝人阮閱編成，共十卷。宋徽宗宣和五年癸卯（1123年）阮閱知郴州時編成《詩總》。《詩話總龜》多採小說家言，「在詩話中薈萃最為繁富」。紹興年間，有閩中刻本，並易名為《詩話總龜》。宋孝宗乾道三年（1167年）前，皆以《詩話總龜》之名行世。《永樂大典》錄有《千家詩話總龜》，惜至清初已失佚不全。明朝嘉靖年間，朱厚燾以月窗道人之名刻有《詩話總龜》九十八卷本（前集四十八卷，後集五十卷），是目前僅存唯一刻本，但據稱「頗經改竄，非複舊觀」。《詩話總龜》還有抄本存在，台灣國家圖書館珍藏現存最早的宋鈔本《詩話總龜》六十卷。
