胡祗遹（1227年 - 1295年），字绍闻，一作少凯，号紫山。磁州武安（今属河北省磁县）人。金国至元朝时期官员与文学家。

胡祗遹是胡景崧之孙。少孤，用功苦读。中统初年被张文谦聘为员外郎，隔年成为中书详定官，他还担任大名宣抚从吏。至元元年（1264年）授应奉翰林文字，兼太常博士，还当过左右司员外郎。至元十九年（1282年）任济宁路总管，升任山东东西道提刑按察使。后来又担任江南浙西诸道提刑按察使。不久以疾辞归，贞元元年（1295）卒。延佑五年追赠礼部尚书，卒谥文靖。朱权《太和正音谱》评其词「如秋潭孤月」。著作早佚，清初四库馆臣自《永乐大典》辑《紫山大全集》二十六卷。

Hu Zhiyu (胡祇遹, 1227–1293), also known as Purple Mountain Hu (紫山胡), was a period writer of Chinese sanqu poetry during the Yuan dynasty. He was from Hebei and orphaned early in life. Nonetheless, he applied himself to his studies and associated with others of exceptional ability. In the 1260s he rose to the high official position of Erudite of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices. However he earned the enmity of a Muslim high minister of finance Ahmad Fanakati (?-1282). Hu was then obliged to fill lesser official positions. Others wrote of him that officials feared him while ordinary people loved him. His writings were largely poetry. He was much influenced by Song poetry with its directness and lack or ornament. His sanqu verses were highly literate, a characteristic of the time. He was likewise gifted at a variety of literary forms, as well as a skilled calligrapher.
