4  | 主管江西安撫司機宜文字，京湖帥李大性闢知隨州。南北初講和，旱蝗相仍，方親走四郊以禱，一夕大雨，蝗盡死，歲大熟。適和議成，諸郡浸弛備，方獨招兵擇將，拔土豪孟宗政等補以官。提舉京西常平兼轉運判官、提點刑獄。時劉光祖以耆德為帥，方事以師禮，自言：「吾性太剛，每見劉公，使人更和緩。」嘗請光祖書「勸謹和緩」四字，揭坐隅以為戒。以金部員外郎召，尋加直秘閣，改湖北轉運判官兼知鄂州。升直煥章閣兼權江陵府，增修三海八匱，以壯形勢。進秘閣修撰、知江陵府、主管湖北要撫司事兼權荊湖置司。 |
