6  | 進左司諫。明年春，兼侍講。首言：「均、房、安、蘄、光、化等處兵禍甚烈，然江面可藉以無憂者，猶有襄州，今又告變矣。襄州失則江陵危，江陵危則長江之險不足恃。昔之所慮猶在秋，今之所慮者祗在旦夕。江陵或不守，則事迫勢蹙，必有存亡之憂，悔將何及？」拜殿中侍御史。時淮西制置使兼沿江制置副使史嵩之兼知鄂州，就鄂建牙。宗勉言：「荊、襄殘破，淮西正當南北之交，嵩之當置司淮西，則脈絡相連，可以應援，邈在鄂渚，豈無鞭不及腹之慮。若雲防江為急，欲藉嵩之於鄂渚經理，然齊安正與武昌對，如就彼措置防扼，則藩籬壯而江面安矣。所謂欲保江南先守江北也。當別擇鄂守，徑令嵩之移司齊安。」 |
