21  | 光緒二十三年，鹿傳霖以三瞻地接里塘，為入藏北界，擬設定瞻直隸廳，而移建昌道於打箭爐，仿金川五屯之制，設立屯官及將弁汛兵，並接展電線至前藏。其事議而未行。三十三年，部臣議裁★邊防軍，趙爾豐以川邊原有巡防五營，已屬不敷調遣，遂定議緩裁。 |
| 22 | 宣統初年，趙爾巽以打箭爐外所有改土歸流屬地，擬悉隸於邊務大臣，★增設官吏，寬籌經費，協濟兵食，以固邊圉。三年，趙爾豐收回三瞻，土司之梗化者，遂自請歸流雲。 |
| 57 | 至川軍入藏之舉，始於雍正初年，準噶爾窺邊，詔以川、陜兵二千人駐防，設正副大臣，分駐前後藏。其時雲南省軍隊亦分途入藏。事定，仍撤歸原省。歷朝鎮撫藏地，多用漢軍、番卒。至光緒三十一年，四川督臣錫良奏調川軍出打箭爐，並招募土勇為向導，以剿竄回。是年八月，巴塘喇嘛戕害大臣，全藏震動。四川提督馬維祺、建昌道趙爾豐合兵進克巴塘、里塘，勘平邊亂。三十二年，里塘逆番桑披復率眾倡亂，錫良命趙爾豐等以川軍討平之。其時番僧與北部回民日就衰弱，全藏邊境，為英吉利、俄羅斯遠勢所包，藏事遂不可問云。 |
