84  | 夏完淳，字存古；夏彝仲子。彝仲既殉節，踰二年，完淳年十七，與陳臥子起兵吳淞間。完淳早慧，五歲而知「五經」，九歲輒擅詞賦；十三而博古，名聞東南。及與臥子共事，凡筆札皆出其手。事覺，被逮，就鞫南京。有欲生之者，曰：『汝年少，豈知兵』！曰：『年雖少，豈遂不知兵』！曰：『汝口何不惜身』？曰：『我死，又十六年，必同先大夫再來殺賊；身又何惜』！因顧其婦翁錢旃曰：『男兒死即死，何能作求生狀』！遂殺於西市。 |
