《卷二》
4  | 法皇令禪位於長子顯仁，年五歲，是為崇德天皇。母，藤原公實女，幼養於白河法皇，長私之。及鳥羽立為中宮，猶不改，鳥羽深銜之。崇德嗣位，忠通攝政，法皇仍聽政，尋崩。而鳥羽上皇聽政亦二十餘年，久之，亦削髮稱法皇。崇德在位十五年，改元六：曰天治，曰大治，曰天承，曰長承，曰保延，曰永治。為法皇所迫，禪位皇太弟。鳥羽法皇多內寵，後納長實女，寵專房，稱美福門院。生子體仁。法皇欲其速得位，諭帚稗讓。即日促書詔，詔稱皇太弟。帝欲俟明日審議，遁中使往復數次，終不聽。及暮，傳劍璽，帝由是與鳥羽有隙。尊為上皇。世稱法皇曰本院，上皇曰新院。 |
