《卷十二》
22  | 二十三年，九月，帝東巡。先是，詞臣曹禾以帝功德日盛，奏靖封禪，科臣王承祖奏請巡狩，並付廷議。工科給事中任辰旦獨上疏諫，言：「封禪之說，惟秦始皇、漢武帝、宗真宗諸君行之，固猥陋無足道矣。若夫巡狩，載《舜典》、《王制》諸書，古諸侯各君其國，天子巡所守，以協同議禮制度。今天下一家，巡狩之禮亦不可舉。」疏入不報，尋部臣議上，虞舜東巡至岱宗，燔柴致祭，漢高祖遇魯，以太牢事孔子。今皇上盛德神功，同符堯舜，仿古之制，爰事東巡，經過泰山闕里，亦應致祭。至是啟鑾東巡，幸山東，登泰山，渡黃河、楊子江，幸鎮江、江蘇、江寧，還經泗水東境，幸曲阜，謁孔陵，始回鑾。自是南巡凡六次。冬十一月，還京師。是年，直隸、河南饑。 |
