| 66 | 知舒州趙子濛，奏本州支使鄒如愚、司理趙善劬荒廢職事，帝曰：「官無高卑，皆當勤於職事。」又曰：「朕於機務之暇，只好讀書。惟讀書則開發智慮，物來能名，事至不惑，觀前古之興衰，考當時之得失，善者從之，不善者以為戒。每見叔世之君，所為不善，使人汗下，幾代其羞。且如唐季諸君，以破朋黨、去宦官為難，以朕思之，殊不難也。凡事只舉偏補弊，防微杜漸，銷患於冥冥，若待顯著而後治之，則難矣。」 |
