55  | 薛季㫤龍門人，則天初上封事，解褐拜監察御史，頻按制獄稱㫖，累遷御史中丞。萬嵗通天元年，夏官中郎侯味虛綂兵討契丹不利，奏言賊徒熾盛，常有虵虎導其軍，則天命季，㫤按驗其狀，使為河北道按察使，季㫤先馳至軍，斬味虛以聞。久視元年，季㫤自定州刺史入為雍州長史，威名甚著，前後京尹無及之者。神龍初，以預誅張易之兄弟功，加銀青光祿大夫，拜戸部侍郎。薛戎字元夫，寶鼎人，年四十不仕，客陽羨山觀察使，辟署不就，自放江河間後，因藩府交奏為河南令，累遷浙東觀察使，所部苛禁，悉弛之。 |
