105  | 竇默，字子聲，廣平肥鄉人。幼嗜書。族祖旺，為郡功曹，欲使習刀筆，不肯就，願卒儒業。金末，轉徙兵亂之中，業醫以自給。至德安，孝感令謝獻子授以伊洛性理之書，先生自以為昔未嘗學，而學自此始。中書楊惟中奉詔招集儒士，先生甫北歸，隱于大名，與姚公樞、許公衡朝暮講習，至忘寢食。久之，還肥鄉，以經術教授諸生，由是知名。世祖在潛邸，遺使召之，問以治道，首舉綱常為對。且曰：「失此則無以自立于世矣。」又言：「帝王之道，在誠意正心，心既正，則朝廷遠近莫敢不一于正。」後世祖即位，以先生為翰林侍講學士，加昭文館大學士。年八十五卒，贈太師，封魏國公，諡文正。修。 |
