| 6 | 顧存仁，字伯剛，太倉人。嘉靖十一年進士。除餘姚知縣，徵為禮科給事中。十七年冬疏陳五事。首言宜廣曠蕩恩，赦楊慎、馬錄、馮恩、呂經等。末云：「敗俗妨農，莫甚釋氏。葉凝秀何人，而敢乞度？」帝方崇道家言。凝秀，道士也。帝以為刺已，且惡其欲釋楊慎等，遂責存仁妄指凝秀為釋氏，廷杖之六十，編氓口外。往來塞上，幾三十年。穆宗即位，召為南京通政參議。歷太僕卿。未幾，致仕。存仁困阨久，方見用，遽勇退，世尤高之。萬曆初，卒。 |
