135  | 《漢書》翟方進，字子威，汝南上蔡人。年十二三，失父孤，學給事太守府，為小史。數為掾史所詈辱，方進自傷，乃從汝南蔡父相蔡父大奇其形貌，謂曰：「小史有封侯骨，當以經術進」。方進心喜，因病歸家，辭其後母，欲至京師受經，母憐其幼，隨之長安，織屨以給方進，讀經博士，受《春秋》，積十餘年，以射䇿甲科為郎，後位至丞相，封髙陵侯，食邑千戶。身既富貴，而後母尚在，方進，內行脩潔，供養甚篤。 |
