111  | 東漢太原王霸，字儒仲，少立髙節，其妻亦有志行。初，霸與同郡令狐子伯為友，後子伯為楚相，而其子為郡功曹，子伯令子奉書于霸，車馬鮮麗僕從都雅，而霸子方耕于野，聞客至，投耒而歸，見令狐子，沮怍不能仰視，霸目之有愧色。客去乆臥不起，妻問其故，霸曰：「吾與子伯素不相若，向見其子容服甚光，舉措有適，而我兒蓬髮厯齒，未知禮則見客而有愧色，父子恩深，不覺自失耳！」妻曰：「子少修清節，不顧榮祿，今子伯之貴，孰與君之髙，奈何㤀初志而慙兒子乎！」霸起而笑曰：「有是哉！」遂共隠遯終身。 |
