5  | 而義和拳自山東浸淫入畿輔，眾亦漸盛，遂圍淶水，縣令祝芾請兵，直隸總督裕祿遣楊福同勦之。福同敗死。進攻涿州，知州龔蔭培告急，順天府尹何乃瑩揣朝旨，格不行。蔭培坐免。太后使刑部尚書趙舒翹、大學士剛毅及乃瑩先後往，道之入京師。剛毅等復命，均力言義民無他心，可恃。遂焚鐵道，毀電線，至者數萬人，城中為壇場幾徧。 |
