《戰事類一》
1  | 咸豐癸丑，粵寇北犯畿輔。長蘆鹽運使楊霈製槍五百桿，招募壯丁，在署教演，號曰「蘆團」。旋奉旨，派前浙江巡撫梁寶常等協同天津地方官辦理團練，乃立義民局二十八處，每局五六十名，按期訓練。縣人張錦文倡捐團練經費，並上守禦策於鹽政文謙。文善之，發令箭一支給錦文，俾籌布置。錦文自練壯丁三千名，號曰「鋪勇」。當是時，天津鎮協各兵連年徵調在外，城中惟蘆團、鋪勇，而義民二十八局散布，一縣通計惟數千人。天津地平衍，無險可扼，寇七八萬由南而來，自春徂秋，寇氛日逼，民心大震。 |
