1  | 國朝廖元度編。元度字大隱，長沙人。是書成於康熙甲子、丙子之間。乾隆丙寅，長沙府知府呂肅高重為刪定刻之。然意主誇多，冗雜特甚，又疏於考証，舛漏尤多。如神農因茶山之葬，而收其《蠟詞》；虞舜因蒼梧之巡，而收其《南風》詩。甚以楚為高陽之苗裔，而收其《丹書》。假借牽附，不一而足。而羅含《湘中記》所載禹《玉牒詞》，見《後漢書郡國志》注者，乃遺而不載。沈諸梁、石乞諸口語靡不濫入，而楚詞乃刪削不完。至戴凱之《竹譜》之類，本非詩篇，漢高帝《鴻鵠歌》之類，無與楚事，亦牽率並登，殆不可解。又如劉跛子乃北宋人，而列於六朝之際；嚴羽乃昭武人，而引於三湘之間。蓋州縣志書，率多附會先賢，借為光耀。而元度乃據志書以為之，宜其至於如是也。 |
