3  | 我皇上宸游蒞止，靈境日開。乾隆九年始命發內帑，建靜寄山莊於山之陽。天闢名區，全攬勝概。歲春秋有事於祖陵，每駐蹕行宮。幾餘靜憩，智仁樂趣，暢洽宸襟。山水效靈，益增神秀。乾隆十九年二月，因行幸山莊，爰命蔣溥、汪由敦、董邦達纂修新志。溥等承詔屬稿，詳加裒輯，分《圖考》、《名勝》、《寺宇》、《流寓》、《方外》、《藝文》、《物產》、《雜綴》八門，厘為十六卷。首冠以巡典、天章五卷。至十二月，書成，奉表恭進焉。臣等敬繹睿制，旁考舊聞。 |

| 1 | 國朝汪由敦撰。由敦字師茗，安徽休寧人。以商籍補浙江學生，故又為錢塘籍。雍正甲辰進士，由編修官至吏部尚書，贈太子太師，謚文端。由敦記誦淹博，文章典重有體。自為諸生，即以才學著聲。及登第以後，策名詞館，橐筆講幃。 |
