3  | 日俄戰後，和約於日本無利，夫人而知之矣。當時俄使維德之強項，殊非吾國之比。維德一聞日本使小村壽太郎有需索之意，立與之絕，且曰：「俟汝兵至彼得堡，再作此請未晚也。汝今乃以戰勝國自居耶？」小村壽太郎曰：「然則孰為戰勝國？」維德曰：「無之。惟其無戰敗國，是以無戰勝國。」小村竟無如之何。 |
