4  | 更始元年正月甲子朔，漢軍復與甄阜、梁丘賜戰於沘水西，大破之，斬阜、賜。沘水在今唐州沘陽縣南。廬江灊縣亦有沘水，與此別也。沘音比。伯升又破王莽納言將軍嚴尤、秩宗將軍陳茂於淯陽，前書曰，納言，虞官也，掌出納王命，所謂喉舌之官也，歷秦、漢不置，王莽改大司農為之。桓譚新論云莊尤字伯石，此言「嚴」，避明帝諱也。秩宗，虞官也，掌郊廟之事，周謂之宗伯，秦、漢不置，王莽改太常為秩宗，後又典兵，故納言、秩宗皆有將軍號也。淯陽，縣，屬南郡，故城在今鄧州南陽縣南，在淯水之陽。淯音育。進圍宛城。 |
