《職官十六》
6  | 太中大夫，秦官，亦掌論議。漢因之。哀帝初立，御史大夫王嘉奏曰：「蘇令發起為盜，欲遣大夫使，時見大夫無可使者，召盩厔令尹逢，拜為諫大夫，遣之。今諸大夫有材者甚少，宜預畜養也。」後漢置二十人。後漢張湛字子孝，拜太中大夫，居中東門候舍，故人號為中東門君。又隗囂廣置職位，以自尊高。鄭興止之，曰：「夫太中大夫、使持節官，皆王者之器，非人臣所當制也。」胡廣云：「諫議、光祿、太中、中散大夫，此四等於古禮皆為天子之下大夫，列國之上卿。」魏以來無員。晉視中丞、吏部，絳朝服，進賢一梁冠，介幘。泰始末，詔除王覽為太中大夫，祿賜與卿同。梁、北齊皆有，大唐亦有之。 |
