| 2 | 宋太祖開寶六年四月，詔脩梁、唐、晉、漢、周書。其五代史者乃後人總括之名也。七年閏十月，書成，凡一百五十卷，目錄二卷。監修者為司空、同中書門下平章事薛居正。同修者為盧多遜、扈蒙、張澹、李昉、劉兼、李穆、李九齡。見宋史及晁公武讀書志、玉海所引中興書目皆本各朝實錄為稿本。此官修之史也。 |

| 12 | 袁彥傳，有劉仁贍降之語。張保續傳，亦有劉仁贍率將卒出降之語。薛居正五代史，周顯德四年，世宗親征壽州，劉仁贍上表乞降。是薛史原有此語。然薛史僅鈔實錄而未及詳考事實。至歐史則已辨明仁贍之不降，實副使孫羽以仁贍病篤，詐為其書以降者，所以特列仁贍於死節傳。今宋史袁彥等傳尚云然，豈元人修史時，并歐史亦不檢對耶？ |
