3  | 沮渠茂虔，遜第三子，聰穎好學，和雅有度。義和三年，立為世子，加中外都督、大將軍、錄尚書。遜薨，僭即河西王位，大赦，改年為永和元年，立子封疆為世子，加撫軍大將軍，錄尚書事。三年五月，西中郎將敦煌太守沮渠唐兒上言曰：「十五日，有一老父見於郡城東門，投書，忽然不見。其書一紙，八字滿之。文曰：『涼王三十年，若七年』。」虔訪於奉常張慎，慎曰：「昔虢將亡，神降於莘。深願陛下克念修政，以副三十年之慶。若盤於游田，荒於酒色，臣恐七年將有大變。虔不悅。」七年正月，朝群臣於謙光殿，有狐在於東序，門者不見其人，左右以告，搜之不獲。二月，端門崩。初、虔為酒泉太守，起浮屠於中街，有石象在焉。是月，目流血。五月，太廟基陷。六月，當陽門崩。魏常山王赤堅率眾至姑臧，虔嬰城拒守。九月，面縛出降。魏釋其縛，徙虔及宗室士民十萬戶於平城，拜虔征西大將軍，王如故。八年。死。賜謚哀王。 |
