| 46 | 楊掞，字純父，撫州臨川人。少能詞賦，里陳氏館之教子，數月拂衣去。游襄、漢，既而代陳中選，陳謝之萬緡，輦以入倡樓，篋垂盡，夜忽自呼曰：「純父來此何為？」明日遂行。用故人薦，出淮閫杜杲幕，杲曰：「風神如許，它日不在我下。」由是治法徵謀多咨於掞。逾年，安豐被兵，掞慨然曰：「事亟矣，掞請行。」乃以奇策解圍，奏補七官。 |
| 58 | 論曰：宋之辱於金久矣，值我國家興師討罪，聲震河朔，乃遣孟珙帥師夾攻，遂滅其國，以雪百年之恥。而珙說禮樂、敦詩書，誠寡與二。杜杲、王登、楊掞、張惟孝，思以功名自見，雖所立有小大，皆奇才也。陳咸不從逆曦，雖不能死，然理財於喪亂之餘，蜀賴以固守，豈不賢於匹夫而莫經溝瀆者哉！ |
