154  | 荀彧，字文若，潁川人。淑孫。少有才名，何顒一見，即許以王佐才。靈帝末，為亢父令。董卓之亂，棄官歸，聞曹操在陳郡有雄略，乃往歸之。操與語，大悅曰：「吾子房也」。以為奮武司馬，軍國之事，皆與籌之。建安中，董昭謂操宜進爵為公，加九錫。彧曰：「曹公本興義兵，不宜如此」。事遂寢。操心不平，㑹征吳，表請彧為侍中，至夀春，飲藥卒。 |
