| 98 | 嚴廷瓚，浙江烏程人。父時敏。族子暘，以姑為明大學士溫體仁妻，怙餘勢，時敏嘗斥其非。暘陽與出游，擠墮水死。廷瓚稍長，聞父死狀，訟暘論斬。暘賄上官反其獄，得脫，益肆。廷瓚奉母避長興，買斧誓復仇。歲還里省墓，遇暘，陽暱就之，暘以為畏己也。母卒，以喪歸。方村演劇，暘高坐以觀。廷瓚直前斧裂其首，斷項，詣縣自首。縣嘉其孝，欲生之，獄上，按察使將援韓愈復仇議為請，廷瓚遽死獄中，或曰暘家賄獄吏殺之。 |
