39  | 兆洛短身碩腹，豹顱剛目，望之若不可近，而接人和易，未嘗疾言遽色。資恤故舊窮乏無不至。藏書逾五萬卷，皆手加丹鉛，尤嗜輿地學。其論文欲合駢散為一，病當世治古文者知宗唐、宋不知宗兩漢，因輯駢體文鈔。其序略云：「自秦迄隋，其體遞變，而文無異名。自唐以來，始有古文之目，而目六朝之文為駢體。為其學者，亦自以為與古文殊路。夫氣有厚薄，天為之也；學有純駁，人為之也；體格有遷變，人與天參焉者也；義理無殊途，天人合焉者也。得其厚薄純雜之故，則於其體格之變，可以知世焉；於其義理之無殊，可以知文焉。文之體至六代而其變盡，夫沿其流極而溯之以至乎其源，則其所出者一也。」卒，年七十一。其自著曰養一齋集。所輯有皇朝文典、大清一統輿地全圖、鳳臺縣志、地理韻編。 |
