| 102 | 儲玫躬，字石友，湖南靖州人。廩生。少有大志，讀書喜講求營陣攻擊之法，嘗於本籍擒治傳習左道倡亂者。道光二十九年，土匪李沅發作亂，踞新寧縣城，玫躬督鄉勇從間道馳截要隘，助官軍討平之，敘功以訓導即選。咸豐三年，選授武陵縣訓導，江西泰和縣土匪闌入茶陵州，巡撫駱秉章檄令募勇討賊。八月，賊竄安仁縣，玫躬偕把總張大楷往援，遇賊於安仁、酃縣交界地，與酃縣團勇合力兜剿，大敗之。常寧土匪圍攻藍山縣城六晝夜，玫躬復偕縣丞王珍等會剿，陣斬六百餘名，賊潰，藍山以全。移剿股匪於道州四眼橋，玫躬繼各營至，逼賊而陣，奮擊敗之，追殲殆盡。玫躬為偏將，兵不滿五百，未嘗出境與大寇戰，馳逐衡、永、郴、桂間者，先後凡三年。粵匪竄擾湖南，逼省城，曾國藩在籍督辦團練，檄玫躬等各統所部遏之。 |
