There are dozens of minerals and chemicals that municipalities add to water supplies. Being overly concerned about fluoride does not make you woke, if anything you seem naive.
Most people are only even aware because cities bragged about it in the past! The only reason to single out fluoride over all the algaecide, anti-corrosion agents, detergents, and disinfectants in tap water is because people read positive newspaper headlines and decided to be contrarian. Not because they were genius detectives.
My proposal is that municipalities should be open to regular public tours. If people actually meet the engineers doing this work in person they might realize these intelligent, professional people making these decisions. And there shouldn't be anything wrong with a bit more transparency and scrutiny on them either.
The reason we add fluoride to water is because it was already a naturally occurring mineral in lots of water supplies around the world. The pre-existing natural experiments have already been extensively studied.
