The Dutch largely arrived here post WW2, we were doing a bunch of agriculture before then, rest assured.

Didn’t the Dutch acquire New York back in 1613?

Oh wow, that Nocera is great, correcting spellings to be passive-aggressive.

So helpful.

I really dislike these turf sitting devs. They try to just defend their throne rather than looking at the merits.

/me looks at most British and American cars...

And even the crappiest British car was better than the lawnmower that seated 4 that was the Trabant (ok maybe not the reliant robin, but still)

Not wearing one implied a lack of care for others in your society.

Wearing them imposed minimal burden, so why are you surprised when you signal that you don't care about others in your society, that they responded in kind?

You’re basically admitting you are one sided on this topic and couldn’t understand why this was the perfect tool to divide and conquer people

Have you considered that perhaps they understood exactly that, and maybe better than you?

What clue makes you think that ?

What better tool is there to divide and control people than something basically inconsequential that someone is willing to get worked up over?

Not wearing one implied a lack of care for others in your society.

Is a belief held only by one side

I think the same applies to "I don't want to wear a mask", no?

2010 called, it wants its Java jokes back.

Go on then. Post the repo when you have :)

Wut.

Kafka shouldn't be used for low dataflow systems, true, but you can scale a long way with a simple 3 node cluster.

What messages? They're just blobs of bytes.

Redpanda isn't FOSS. Apache Kafka is.

Redpanda community edition operates under the BSL license - https://www.redpanda.com/blog/open-source

IANAL, but it looks pretty open source to me.
