The download links are behind email form.

You can use following gist to get the direct links to download packages:

It's worse than that.

You select your OS and enter an email address, then it expands to ask another six questions. This is some vile manipulation; they know fewer people would download it if they immediately showed all eight input fields.

Cookie banners are always annoying, but they are also using that even crappier corporate version from one of those "Trust" companies.

I've enjoyed using Redis so far, but suddenly I think I'd feel less violated using the Oracle version of MySQL.

It's in `brew` as well, looks like.

It’s been a little while, but I believe just running it via docker worked really well also without any forms etc

I have been using Kopia since June 2021 since I first posted it on HN [1]

My use cases are very basic, but it just quite works all the time. My total backup is roughly 1TB with more than million files at multiple locations like local, remote SFTP and Amazon S3.

I like being able to extract the selected data(directory/file) from snapshot without restoring the whole snapshot.

de-duplcaition is icing on top.

The developer Jarek is very responsive on Kopia Slack as well.

Few weeks ago I tried Thunderbird with IMAP account which has ~300k emails. It was painfully slow just to load emails list and view email. Let alone navigate the folders

I want all the emails downloaded for offline search.

I guess I would give this a try again and see how it goes.

Meanwhile, I have been using eM client since a week and it is very prompt to view list, navigate folders, search and all.

With eM client, I have read people complaining about mandatory forced updates even with the paid license.

My phone didn't recognized as well, until I zoomed out the screen to 50% and I was able to scan all the generated QRs from the article.

With iPhone 14 from MacBook Air M1 screen about 35-40 cm away every picture except one read on first try and that one read after I pulled the phone back a bit.

This is brilliant work, thanks for sharing.

I'm amazed by the dedication Felix has put to even log the manual data points everyday.

Congratulations on the Beta and thank you for creating Monica.

It states it(Chandler) does not have Import from existing Monica yet. Just wanted to get clarity on: will it get the Import option in future?

Yes we are working on it already. But it's no trivial task so it'll take a bit of time.

Thanks for the thread. It is full of Oracle horror stories

I was about to give Oracle free tier a try for some hobby projects.

I get same 403 error.
