If you use emacs org-mode, check out org-drill http://orgmode.org/worg/org-contrib/org-drill.html. It uses the same algorithms, allows you to tweak everything, and you can keep your flashcards alongside the relevant notes/code/files/issues/ToDos/bookmarks/contacts/feeds/calendar-entry/emails/thesis/spreadsheets/journals/diagrams/pictures/evernotes/etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-dUkyn_fZA, rather than in a totally separate program.

"NeoEmacs" is guilemacs, putting emacs ontop of the guile vm. look at the GSoC project.

Oh, i just learn about this.

But when i search google for this guilemacs there are no definitive information for this project (as in where i download the program?).

So based on my little browsing, vim and emacs have some kind of different problems? (or are they even problems?)

Vim has the benevolent dictator who prefer supporting backwards compatibility to developing features. And Neovim try to address that.

Emacs is using a "hacky emacs lisp" and "guile emacs" tries to incorporate a scheme based improvement on the backend.

It's ludicrous for this to be anything other than hilarious.

Causes: kids are bored, kids are allowed to use cell phones in class (what?), they've never actually had to take anything seriously, and adults will always validate their shenanigans by acknowledging it, so: they search for drama, can get it from social media, "take it seriously" just feeding the drama, and they get their money shot of the principal and lawyers getting involved.

It's child pornography and the only sick part is the adults who are getting off to it, but apparently that doesn't matter either so I'm just sitting here hoping someone doxxes a pair of plots out of whoever this "M." chick is.

If your marginal freetime is worth less than driving for Lyft, then it probably was before Lyft.

Either own the code and machines that these services run on, or prepare for either A) Basic income, leading towards crime and social isolation and the end of civilization for your class, or B) Slavery (WPA style), in order to prevent A. If you use your power of selective history the right way, you'll get B and enjoy it.

I, as someone of non-genius IQ, will use my still-existent income to enjoy the metaverse and avoid major cities.

What's the advantage over /r/woodworking?

Funny, I got the same exact question when I posted it there. Honestly, not much until it morphed into an rss feed of my favorite blogs.

Ha, then I guess just make sure it's linked in their sidebar.

I hate to be that guy, but nothing you have under IDM is actually IDM. It's decent glitchhop/dubstep, but I don't know how/why you created that sub-category to shoehorn IDM in there somewhere.

I scraped a few blogs and then took in their tags thinking they would be accurate.

Evidently, they are not always accurate. :(

Children are a social benefit.

If not through taxes, then how?

> it is your choice

It's my choice to remain a student, and to do well. It's my choice to do community service, etc. etc... what's your point?

There are few things, if any, as existentially important as creating the next generation.

> The single most important world problem we face is overpopulation.

Bullshit. We'd need over 100 billion people on Earth for that to be anywhere near a sane thought. See, e.g.: http://www.acceleratingfuture.com/michael/blog/2006/09/overp...

> We'd need over 100 billion people on Earth for that to be anywhere near a sane thought.

You know, it can't hurt to get in touch with reality from time to time:

http://www.wfp.org/hunger/stats

Quote: "Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year."

We have seven billion people on the planet, and according to the UN, almost one billion of those people aren't being fed adequately. So we should have 100 billion people? By what cockeyed reasoning?
