that makes sense, what messaging applications do you prefer to use instead? (video or chat)

where do you find whitepapers to read that interest you?

I read one paper that I am really interested in, then go to read all papers that were mentioned in the one paper and so on. Priority in time is for the easiest to understand paper from that piramid. Also reading all available papers from author of any great paper is almost always rewarding. Some random papers with amazing content can be finded on HN, usually I read them until I realize that I stopped to understand that wording.

working on https://testflight.apple.com/join/NPwgYK3H which is still in beta :) its a ___location based discussion app basically you can talk to people within ~2km of you. I thought it would be a nice to have during Covid for people feeling a little lonely. Would love to hear what people thing :)

I had this same idea a while back as a way to play with Elixir! Have you considered playing with the distance based on population density? Or user density as a proxy anyway.

I wanted to build a ___location based discussion application. I thought during covid, people who were talking to others in the same area it could be really helpful for people feeling lonely so I built an app called Jest. It's still in beta, but I would love it if anyone could try it out and send feedback :) https://testflight.apple.com/join/NPwgYK3H

it seems like it might be worth trying to build something similar now?

I'm still surprised no one has retried the Yik Yak strategy (anon, local, snapchat-esque points). I remember how popular it was on uni campuses in my country.

How would you do it differently? Is it possible to have a geolocated, anonymous speech app, or would it just turn into 4chan?

Hey Hackers,

My co-founder and I realized that saving and sharing music, especially across music services, can be pretty difficult. Together, we’ve created a music experience that we really enjoy - MusFuse.

MusFuse is a centralized platform that unlocks music listening, sharing, and discovery across all major music providers such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud.

Users can create circles with friends where music sharing comes to life through posted songs, which other circle members can listen to using their favorite streaming service without leaving MusFuse. They can also react to the post, start a conversation in the comments, add the posted song to their favorites, and so much more.

We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback! You can submit them here or through our app.

Do you have a phone app?

Thanks for checking out our web app! We are currently working on our mobile application and hope to have it out soon.
