Paid $75 (in 1987 money!) for The Legend of Zelda for the NES at a Toys "R" Us in Colma, CA. Sold all my Series 1 Voltron (with the toxic paint) at a garage sale to finance it. Still the most I've ever spent for a game, and it was worth every penny.

When I think about how expensive games appear to be nowadays, I think back to 8-year-old me and the sacrifices I made.

Hallucinogens have done wnders for my PTSD and depression issues. Please do not confuse them with Amphetamines or other non-hallucinogens.

That said, if you are on MAOI's or SSRI's, you would do well to end their use before attempting any hallucinogen stronger than cannabis.

yes that's my concern (drug interactions) I've seen curious users mix all kinds of things without checking first, and they've never had any experience in doing drugs (either legal or illegal) and end up worse off

In terms of reactions, I think it varies from person to person. Generally speaking though, hallucinogens aggravate existing psychotic disorders. If you suffer from PTSD/depression it's not a psychotic disorder (so it's relatively safe for you to take).

Curiously enough, a subset of patients suffering from ptsd/depression/anxiety don't experience the euphoria associated with amphetamines. I'm sorry if I didn't word myself clearly enough

Kijiji, the classifieds leader over Craigslist in Canada, is an eBay property. If the US has competition for eBay, the rest of the world seems to be sorely lacking in it.

In Canada, this would be grounds for "Malicious Prosecution", which is pretty much the only way to oust a prosecutor.

I've seen it done only once with my own eyes; Lawyer was disbarred, and the now-former lawyer "settled" the criminal charges as a pro-se litigant (which I didn't know was possible) by paying a fine (literally, writing a cheque in court), and walking out the door a free man.

I'd say giving people the ability to settle criminal charges as a civil matter is a much larger recipe for abuse, leading to Prosecutors not caring about the damage they do, even if their feet are held to the fire.

Fun food for thought: NCSA Mosaic started in 1992, and ended in 1997. Netscape 4.0, the last user of this engine, stopped development in 1998. Gecko, the core of Mozilla, started in 1998, and is still in development 16 years later.

So, the engine that Spolsky was saying was a mistake has now been in use for twice as long as the engine it was replacing.

The Seamonkey Project [1] is the current state of the Mozilla Application Suite[2], which Netscape 6 and 7 were branched from[3][4]. Written in C++ mostly.

Some of us have been using Gecko as their renderer for almost sixteen years now. Seems KHTML(w), the base of both Webkit and Blink[5], is the same age. Seems we've gotten a good run out of the existing codebases. In fact, this means that Gecko (and khtml) have been in use twice as long as NCSA Mosaic, which the first Netscape was based on[6]. Imagine how Spolsky must feel about the Servo rewrite.
