Exactly, like a bank that doesn’t lock it’s vault because the front door is locked.

Or, in this case, not locked

Yeah, that’s getting really old. Especially since it’s each site in the family.

Ah, Windows Phones were very responsive.

They were and they weren't. UI was pretty responsive, but starting programs was often slow. In 8.1 and above, starting the home screen was sometimes slow. So many dots crossing the screen.

It’s fine

I think the way to do it is to cut one end of, then the other and use it to push the paste out through the can. Doing that I've never had a problem.

Thats also the trick for sliding out the cranberry jelly-loaf things.

Ocean Spray realized this and made the bottom of the can un-openable. So now you either have to use a knife or squeeze the can enough to loosen the cranberry jelly loaf. I've found the same trick works on refried beans, but it's not as amusing. lol.

I 100% agree, if you can sign up without a phone call, you should be able to cancel without one. However, at the end of the day, it's just a phone call. It gets a bit dramatic.

It's just a click on their side, no reason to make it more complicated than necessary.

For many people a phone call is not "just a phone call". Companies doing this know why they force customers to call. So did this one when they changed the terms of service recently.

No, it's not the end of the world for most. But it sure shows how they treat their customers.

"Just a phone call" can get pretty bad. You can wait their entire working day on hold trying to contact the MN department of public safety, and I wouldn't be surprised to find that there exist people who would rather not blow one or more vacation days on such a riveting adventure.

Imagine I live in a country outside of the US, and Baremetrics office hours are my 2am, and a long distance phone call also.

I would make it a mission to never do business again with such a customer hostile company.

The Stripe angle is interesting, someone should see how Stripe feels about endorsing such behaviour.

Which is indeed the case for us. We are (I am) based in Ireland, and there is a significant time different. Even though that's not the main culprit here but still applicable.

It’s a matter of principle. Plus I don’t want to be forced to hear them beg to stay.

You know I want to leave, let me leave and stop being abusive.

As a customer, guess what? I get it, it'll take longer to get my stuff. No big deal. It means a lot of people are being responsible, shopping online, and hopefully sending gifts rather than spreading COVID. Retailers should just not make shipping promises they can't keep, reasonable people will understand.

The Idera way, buy product, fire devs, offshore to feature factory.

Agreed, good to call them out, if this is intentional, but about the only way to stop this stuff is to stop using their browser.

I switched back to Firefox a few years ago. I know they've had their issues recently but still probably the least evil browser.

split dns is typically the solution for this, is it not?
